The Clean energy for EU islands secretariat is pleased to announce the winners of its fifth Call for Postcards for the winter 2023/24 season. Submissions from La Palma and Evia Islands have been chosen as winners of this call.

La Palma, Spain, and Evia, Greece, have captured the spotlight with their innovative and captivating portrayals of island life and renewable energy integration.

The decision to crown dual winners has become a tradition, highlighting the exceptional efforts and ideas fostered across Europe's diverse island communities. This year's selection process saw submissions from various corners of the EU.

The winning postcards from Spainand the Evia stood out for their unique angles and portrayal of sustainable energy practices and stunning landscapes.

These postcards serve as a testament to the islands' commitment to transforming their energy landscapes while preserving their unique natural and cultural heritage. With each Call for Postcards, the Clean energy for EU islands secretariat brings attention to the inspiring stories and initiatives undertaken by these island communities.

Spain and the Evia now stand as beacons of sustainable progress, showcasing how innovation and determination can pave the way for a cleaner and brighter tomorrow.
