Their innovation encompasses the creation of the initial commercial Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) system, set to revolutionise the energy framework for tropical island nations. Through the commercialisation of ocean thermal energy, our aim is to liberate Small Island Developing States and coastal cities from the dependence on costly and environmentally detrimental fossil fuels, while assisting them in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
